Bacteria, viruses and fungi are germs that can cause sickness. Germs are tiny organisms, living creatures that can be seen with a powerful microscope. Below, you find fifteen statements about germs and 3 x 7 icons. First look at the three icons:

After researching the various germs try to imagine what bacteria, viruses and fungi look like.

  • Take pictures of your drawings.

Task 3

Discuss together

Find a partner or a group to present your drawings and start to discuss germs.

  • Present your drawings of bacteria, virus and fungi and share, what you have found out about them.
  • Discuss the kinds of sicknesses they might cause.
  • Discuss how you can protect yourself.
  • Do they do anything beneficial?
