Assessment for Learning

From DallE: cute cat showing its learning in school surreal

Assessment for learning (AFL) is nothing new under the sun, but it does question the simple categories of assessment into 'summative', 'formative', 'diagnostic' and so on. When we think of AFL, when we google the term, worlds are open to us of ideas for a data-driven approach to instruction where every instance of teaching is an instance of assessment!

There are tons of available materials on feedback and assessment for learning. For a start, the Oxford Guide to Effective Feedback (2020, OUP) is useful!
