Visual Literacy

You might think about the following questions:
- What images should we present learners with to increase their visual literacy? What questions should we ask about these images and how do we structure discussions in a foreign language (English) to get to deep viewing and critical thinking?
- In what ways can learners express their deep thinking visually, but with linguistically simple means?
- How can Harvard's Project Zero materials be applied to English language teaching in Switzerland?
- How can we use textbook images, which may be outdated, critically?
- How can learners be taught to interpret and create various types of images (infographics, etc....)
- How can learners be taught to go between text and image critically?
